1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and C&F PANGERAS LTD, 54 Pafou, Pissouri, Limassol 4607, Cyprus ("we", "us") governing your use of the Wing Secure mobile app and this website (together, "the Service"). By downloading, installing or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
The app is distributed through the Apple App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies. Where Apple's terms conflict with these Terms, Apple's terms prevail for the App Store distribution itself.
2. Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the app.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where that right cannot be excluded by law.
- Remove or obscure any proprietary notices.
- Use the app to build a competing product.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service:
- To break any applicable law or regulation.
- To store, transmit or conceal material you have no right to hold.
- To attack, probe or disrupt the Service or the third-party services it relies on, including sending automated or excessive volumes of requests.
- To check, trace or process links, addresses or data belonging to other people without their authorisation.
- To evade lawful investigation or to facilitate harm to others.
4. Your responsibility for your data
The app stores your data on your own device and there is no cloud backup and no recovery mechanism. You are solely responsible for:
- Remembering your vault code and decoy code. If they are lost, the encrypted contents cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
- Keeping your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
- The physical and account security of your device.
Deleting the app removes its local data, including the vault. Notes marked as self-destructing are deleted automatically according to the rule you set and cannot be restored afterwards.
5. No warranty — the tool is provided "as is"
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
In particular, we do not warrant that:
- The link checker will identify every phishing or malicious address, or that every address it flags is in fact malicious.
- The SMS filter will catch every scam message, or that it will never misclassify a legitimate one.
- The breach checks reflect every breach that has ever occurred — they can only report what the underlying databases contain.
- The metadata cleaner removes every conceivable trace from every file format.
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.
6. Not a substitute for a full security audit
Wing Secure is a personal-hygiene toolkit, not a professional security assessment, an antivirus product, or legal, financial or forensic advice. Its verdicts are indicative and should inform your judgement, not replace it. If you handle high-risk data or believe you are being targeted, seek qualified professional help. Do not rely on Wing Secure alone to make decisions with serious consequences.
7. Third-party services
Some features send a request to third-party providers, as described in the Privacy Policy. Those services are operated independently and are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or for changes they make to their data or their APIs.
8. Pricing and purchases
The app is free to download and use, and contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions. If a paid tier is introduced later, its price and renewal terms will be shown in the App Store before you buy anything, and these Terms will be updated. Any purchase would be processed by Apple, with refunds handled under Apple's policies through your App Store account.
9. Intellectual property
The app, this website, their source code, design system, the "Wing Secure" name and logo, and the mascot artwork are owned by C&F PANGERAS LTD and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. These Terms grant you a licence to use the Service, not any ownership of it.
Content you create in the app — your notes, documents and other vault items — remains yours. We do not claim any rights in it and, since it never reaches us, we could not use it in any case.
The app is built with third-party open-source components, which remain the property of their authors and are used under their own licences. Ask us at the address in section 14 for the current list.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including any loss resulting from a threat the Service did not detect, or from a legitimate item it flagged.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Consumers keep all statutory rights that apply in their country of residence.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms. Sections 5, 6, 9, 10 and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the app develops. The "last updated" date above will change, and material updates will be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
